Which version of binutils are you using, Eric? And which ones have you been using, Richard? My failures are with binutils 2.17.50 on FreeBSD 9/i386 where this is the system toolchain. Using a manual installation of binutils 2.21.1 there makes bootstrap pass for me. Gerald
