Hmm, AFAICS is in Mafile.in the following line present:
# Copy target independent sources
$(foreach f,$(ADA_INCLUDE_SRCS) $(LIBGNAT_SRCS), \
$(LN_S) $(fsrcpfx)ada/$(f) $(RTSDIR) ;) true
which seems to me the cause for this patch.
