Thanks Nathan for the clarification. Actually, however, we really want to deal with those issues via appropriate __attribute__, we debated the issue in great detail (therefore we have to wait for the attributes to work correctly, see PRs mentioned in my previous reply) -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8670
