The last issue, actually is filed as libstdc++/8670 and in the audit trail we agreed to fix it using a suited __attribute__(aligned), which however, doesn't work correctly at the moment (we have already a few open PRs about this). Indeed, I'd rather prefer fixing the two problems separately.
