            Bug ID: 128214
Summary: ipa-sra of outlined assume bodies is dependent on
                    ipa-cp
           Product: gcc
           Version: 17.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: missed-optimization
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: ipa
Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
Reporter: jmelcr at gcc dot gnu.org
CC: jamborm at gcc dot gnu.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Because the callback edges towards outlined assume bodies are created during
ipa-prop, it makes their ipa-sra opportunities dependent on whether ipa-cp runs
before sra or not. Regular callback edges are also created during ipa-prop,
but this case is somewhat justifiable. The limitation for assumes is
esentially arbitrary.

There are many possible solutions for this, the most straightforward one would
be to create the edges during cgraph_edge::rebuild_edges, with the caveat that
additional passes would have to be taught how to deal with/ignore callback
edges.
