Here is what I did about 2 years ago: * https://salsa.debian.org/debian-phototools-team/highway/-/commit/1abb97cdf84057fb84ab5c78c4075a77d01f65f4 Basically add -mno-unaligned-access/-mstrict-align depending on the target.
