I've managed to bisect this now; the first bad commit is
27778979c9a1e32a6ca74e5b5f377385225449b1 (Add
-f{,no-}assume-sane-operators-new-delete options [PR110137]), also present in
GCC 15.1.0. Compiling with -fno-assume-sane-operators-new-delete makes the bug
disappear.
