Still rough on the edges
This prototype patch does bootstrap and test ok on x86_64-linux-gnu.
I still have commutative operations support to add. But I think this is a
decent start.
Would be nice for you to report back any failures you see and benchmark on the
testcases which you found the original testcase with.
