--- Comment #2 from Richard Biener <rguenth at gcc dot gnu.org> --- I've used glibc 2.38 and binutils 2.43.1 and the host compiler is GCC 7 from SLES 15 SP6. I'm now tying w/o custom BOOT_CFLAGS. I suspect this is a compare-debug issue, but will have to verify that as well.
