There are multiple backends that issue warnings controlled by this option nowadays, and I'm not sure it's worth the effort to document all the situations where they might be emitted in the manual; many of them involve backward compatibility with quite old versions of GCC. I think the high-order bit is that if users get these warnings, we document how to turn them off now.
