The whole testing cycle is quite slow because I'm using a QEMU environment. As others have already confirmed that this works on arm32, I did not follow up here. However, I've successfully boostrapped and regression tested the patch on x86-64 and aarch64. Also, I've reviewed it and it definitely looks good. Thanks, Jakub, for providing the fix!
