Having been pointed here from bug 118473: Is this actually still applicable? I
can't repro with 14.2.0. In fact without an additional
-mstack-protector-guard=global I can't observe any reference to
__stack_chk_guard at all. With that option there's the expected @got use of it,
and I see no issue linking the resulting object (GNU ld 2.43.1 in case it
matters).
