Personally, I used systemd-pstore for this and I found it easiest.

FWIW, we had no reports of it in Gentoo yet. But that doesn't mean the bug
isn't real or anything. It might be as richi said fixed on the branch, or only
affecting some specific kernel config options.

I can provide some guidance on IRC as well if needed (sam_ on libera and oftc).
