--- Comment #1 from Andrew Pinski <pinskia at gcc dot gnu.org> --- --enable-coverage has been there (and documented) since r0-44516-g22aa533ee7d277 (which was in 2002, 7 years before this bug was filed). So the first part of this bug was already existing. The second part of handling automated checking the resulting coverage is not there though.
