It might also be a wise idea in these cases where a shift
is a computed amount, to have a sanity check to make sure
that the shift is <= sizeof( type) * 8.
Something like
assert( GET_MODE_BITSIZE (mode).to_constant () - 1 <= sizeof( unsigned long
long));
in the faulty code.
