This appears to be due to recent commit
r15-3328-g673a448aa24efedd5ac140ebf7bfe652d7a6a846 "Optimize initialization of
small padded objects".

Given this commit doesn't appear to be causing any other issues, chances are
that the Rust front end is doing "something funny"?
