This option can cause excessive memory and compile-time usage on large compilation units. It is not enabled by default at any optimization level. Chances are `gcc` succeeds in a longer time: O(minutes). For me it finishes in 3 minutes on gcc-14. Enabled extra checkers (verify_*) probably make it slower.
