Cray accepts it. Interestingly, I may have done an accidental bisection. % gfcx -c --version a.f90 GNU Fortran (GCC) 13.0.0 20220621 (experimental) This fails with an ICE. The results reported in comment #1 are with gfortran on my laptop. It may have a few unsubmitted or committed patches. I check later today.
