Also we need some methodology for followup patches so they are marked as candidates for stable branches as well. In this case https://gcc.gnu.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=gcc.git;h=0ddb93ce77374004 is the initial patch which was applied to 10 and 9 branches. The a followup patch https://gcc.gnu.org/g:554eb7d2e1ef5660d6a8e1c12ee1d751a70bbf31 was only applied in gcc-10 branch but not gcc-9 branch.
