The dump shows patterns used for that and those fail to SLP. And then we have note: ==> examining statement: _1 = (short unsigned int) i_29; missed: conversion not supported by target. so sparc doesn't support V2SI to V4HI packing. So we need both vect_int_mult and vect_pack_trunc.
