OK. This is an annoying regression in terms of the ability to compile code that
was working before due to GCC silently ignoring the clobber, but I'll fix it on
our side in any case. I'd kinda like to see GCC continue to accept it too for a
while just because it's frustrating not to be able to compile old releases that
worked fine before.
