I fully agree! However, it would mean the parameter would have to change its
meaning (be extended) since now (based on documentation) it only affects the
interpretation of subsequent files. While there are no files in this command.

However, having it work this way would provide a nice interface for any
language.

Although will it work with languages not supported by given installation? Since
querying warning flags seems to be working for any language, regardless of
which are enabled.
