In your gdb script, please add

  x/i $pc
  disas

after the backtrace command (probably 'bt full') and regenerate the log.
Without that the log doesn't actually show the "illegal" instruction.

Also please show output of rpm -qf /usr/lib64/dri/r300_dri.so
