Yes, you are right. I totally bolloxed up the the commits that I made this morning. I scrambled the ChangeLogs and accidentally included the patch in comment 5. I left the latter since it is required for generality and cannot do any harm. In fact, it might even do some good! By the way, I am totally unable to reproduce the segfault of this PR and consistently get the correct output. ***sigh*** Paul
