The following code causes an internal compiler error:

const char someData[] = {1, 2, 3};

template <const short addr> class A {
};

constexpr const short p  = someData + 1;
A<p> a;


$ avr-g++ -fpermissive test.cpp                                                 
test.cpp:6:37: warning: invalid conversion from 'const char*' to 'short int'
[-fpermissive]
 constexpr const short p  = someData + 1;

For reference, normal g++:
