After some debate on gcc-patches it was decided that the test case there was invalid, and so is this one, for the same reason. Thus: ice-on-invalid-code. (FWIW, I'd like to revisit the decision for the case in that bug but I'm not sure that I'd also like to see it extended to this case where the array would have no elements.)
