That's why the POSIX standard recommends portable applications to limit the characters in file names to the Portable Filename Character Set which consists of alphanumeric characters plus the period, hyphen, and underscore. To avoid problems, configure in a directory that doesn't contain spaces. Closing as Won't Fix.
