If you wish to get the warning with -O0, then this is a duplicate of PR43361
(explained in detail here:
https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/Better_Uninitialized_Warnings#Problem_2:_Representation_issues_.28either_IR_or_SSA_issues.29).
If you do not care about -O0, but wish to get the warning with higher
optimization level, then this is a dup of PR18501. The latter has enough
duplicates and testcases.
