The alternate representation has an impact on how this bug is dealt with so it's on hold pending Jason's decision. The patch with the alternate representation was posted last week and pinged last night: https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2016-01/msg01901.html In his response from this morning Jason requests some additional tweaks to the patch. I should have an updated one by tomorrow.
