Hi Eric, I am not that knowledgeable about how compilers are implemented, so i doubt that i will be able to debug it myself. 1. It's just a notation to state that we will be using this compiler to build 64 bit applications. 2. Base compiler is 3.4.6 # /usr/local/bin/gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.9/3.4.6/specs Configured with: ../configure --with-as=/usr/ccs/bin/as --with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --enable-shared --enable-languages=c,c++,f77 Thread model: posix gcc version 3.4.6 3.
