The following code:

program test

   implicit none



   integer :: i

   complex :: a(4)



   read(*,*) a(:)

end program test



Fails at runtime with the following line of input:

4*(0.0,0.0)



It is fine with:

(0.0,0.0) (0.0,0.0) (0.0,0.0) (0.0,0.0)



Error message is:

$ gfortran -g -o bug bug.f90 && ./bug < bugdata 

At line 6 of file bug.f90 (unit = 5, file = 'stdin')

Fortran runtime error: Read kind 8 COMPLEX where kind 4 is required for item 2
