Now it's annoying to go back to the various options (some aren't even discussed in Bugzilla entries). Maybe you did a bit of that already as part of filing the PR and have a specific solution in mind? Should we go back to something like Comment #5 in PR53339? But I don't like so much the idea of adding stuff to stl_function.h
