I'm not sure that having both the calendar button and a "Now" link would be nice from a UX point of view. And if almost nobody needs to go several days or months in the past, the calendar button is pretty useless anyway. The calendar always selects the currently set date because that's how it works (its code is external to Bugzilla; it comes directly from Yahoo! YUI code).
