You mean PR50925 ? These bugs are hard to fix and open since over 2 years now, see PR42204 You might get around these by building with -fno-caller-saves which avoids the spill fails in some situations. I don't know if someone is working on these issues. AVR with its register layout is real stress test for the register allocator, but AVR is neither primary nor secondary platform so that such bugs are outside the focus of GCC developers.
