Table 4.7 of the

AMD64 Architecture Programmer’s Manual Volume 1:
Application Programming

has a footnote 3 that says

3. The floating-point indefinite value is a QNaN with a negative sign and a
significand whose value is 1.100 ... 000.

Table 4.8 gives the encodings for all the indefinite values again.
