At this point, 'cc1' starts consuming massive amounts of RAM and seems to get stuck in an infinite loop. The only way out is to force a SIGINT (ctrl-c) and kill it off, kill -9, or reboot. This appears to be similar to bug 46898 on 4.6.0. Build commands used: ../configure --prefix=/opt/toolchains/lm32-elf --target=lm32-elf --enable-languages=c,c++ --with-newlib --enable-sjlj-exceptions make make install Test results: 4.5.3 -- OK 4.6.0 -- bug present 4.6.1 -- bug present
