The problem has been confirmed to be an issue with the custom snprintf
implementation used in the equation.com distribution and not related to
gfortran/mingw.
In the new snapshot distributed on their website they have fixed this issue,
and are apparently using __mingw_snprintf now, which solves the problem for the
reporter.
