Maybe the prompt is confusing; the .923.........8.1...........1.7.4...........658.........6.5.2...4.....7.....9..... is actually an argument to the program, not its output. Apparently, it didn't fit on a single line that's why it's printed underneath the execution of the program. $ ./sudoku_solver_single .923..,etc.
