My mistake. The additional assemble_external() calls weren't needed in lto-cgraph.c and this reduced patch produces the same errors. Any idea of what is happening to ltrans such that the symbols become undefined now? -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44812
