Richard: I wonder whether one should fix it. Regarding CLASS, i.e. polymorphism, one finds in the 4.5 release notes: "Experimental, incomplete support for polymorphism". As Fortran 2003 feature and as being marked experimental, I do not expect that many users run into this issue.
