"If a procedure declared in the scoping unit of a module has an implicit interface, it shall be given the EXTERNAL attribute in that scoping unit; if it is a function, its type and type parameters shall be explicitly declared in a type declaration statement in that scoping unit." It seems that the current result is OK and standard conforming. One should check that the test cases here are properly rejected (they seem to be) and one should re-check the referenced PRs and the mailing-lists links and the interpretation request.
