Wonder why gcc on darwin should always work around darwin toolchain bugs, but
on most other OSes if you have bugs in tools, you just require those bugs to be
fixed, gcc doesn't work around them.  What is so special about darwin?
That said, -gstrict-dwarf (perhaps without a version, just saying you never
want any stuff beyond the selected dwarf version) is something I can live with.
