Yeah.  In GCC this has been fixed by:
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/1999-01/msg00206.html
but SPEC2k contains older copy of GCC source code.
You need to either patch it, or use -fno-strict-aliasing to compile the buggy
CUs.
