I see:

GLIBCXX_CHECK_LFS
as part of the generic libstdc++ configuration in configure.ac for gcc trunk.
Therefore, LFS config is the same codepath for cross and native. Thus, if
mingw32 supports LFS, then this should be working for both native and crosses.
This is new for gcc-4.4.0. Yay!
Due the current state of sources, and the length of time this has been
inactive, I'm going to close this bug as FIXED and set the target milestone for
4.4.0. It can be considered WONTFIX for previous releases of gcc.
