These are the options I use:
--target=spu-elf --prefix=${HOME}/gcc-spu --with-mpfr=/usr/local --with-newlib
--enable-languages=c,c++,objc --with-headers-- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36837
