Interestingly, current mainline is not affected. Thus, either the mainline
compiler regressed (that is the library is actually buggy and the mainline
compiler should reject the code, like the 4_3-branch compiler does), or
something should be backported from mainline to the 4_3-branch compiler. In
either case, it seems to me the C++ compiler should be checked first, both in
mainline and 4_3-branch.
