Given that this bug does not exist in the more modern 4.x gcc series I am tempted to just suggest that you upgrade your toolchain. On the assumption however that this is not a viable option for you I have uploaded a potential patch. The patch is not perfect - the real bug is actually in reload somewhere and I am not going to try to debug that - but it should work. Please give it a try and let me know how you get on.
