So, what is wrong with

  static integer(kind=4) options.0[7] = {68, 127, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0};

  _gfortran_set_options (7, &options.0);
  D.862 = (integer(kind=4)) t;
  D.863 = _gfortran_selected_int_kind (&D.862);
  res = (real(kind=4)) D.863;
}

(which is unchanged by the patch for PR30142).
