It's very unlikely to be fixed. The fix mentioned seems to be right, but without a big-endian Alpha system to test the patch on I wouldn't want to commit it (big-endian Alpha is a pretty weird configuration, I think the only one is the Cray T3E supercomputer). -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22093
