Do you mean that GCC 4.1 and 4.2 will never have this bug fixed and we have to wait till 4.3 is out? Besides, have you tested this bug on architectures other that Intel core2? Originally this bug affected plain i386 code. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=26290
